The movie "Desperados on the Block" (see trailer below, me appearing at 1:47) is a very low budget production by some film students in Munich. Back then, in 2007, I was doing an internship in Munich and was accomodated in the "Studentenstadt" (a housing complex with about 2500 students living there).
I was playing table tennis almost every weekend, because banking can be really tiring. One day some guy with whom I was playing asked me whether I'd like to play in front of the camera for an amateur's movie. Since I was playing anyway, I agreed.
And really, I only spent an afternoon playing table tennis in the gym, outdoor, in the elevator... Still it was somehow awkward to talk about random things in Chinese while playing and pretend to be serious in the same time.
Actually I don't even remember what the movie was about and I haven't seen the final movie till today, although it has won some awards (?!). The director promised me a copy, I didn't receive anything.
BUT: I appear in the trailer :)
